The two states known as Dubai and Abu Dhabi are the most famous of the UAE because of their phenomenal growth development in recent years. This development was aimed at not only placing the two states at the forefront of the tourist trade but for also putting them in the front lines of the Midwestern nations. Bordered by several major gulf countries such as Saudi Arabia, Oman and Qatar the immediate area has a history which is rich in tribal war and upheaval. UAE’s aims have been to downgrade its past and attract tourists into their country while presenting a positive side of the gulf countries.

Although both of these cities have pushed greatly to become a modern 20th century refuge for tourists they have both succeeded in still preserving the various traces of their past which is meant to serve as a reminder for its people of where they have originated from.
